Personally I touched #borg and I do think that #rdiffbackup's reverse-delta approach is good if you have growing datasets, but sometimes stupid pipes and cron'd scripts will do just fine.

@helmet91 @nixCraft depends on several factors like the type of drives used, hardware acceleration, what kind of encryption is being used, etc.

But generally that should be possible.with AES-Ni - Acceleration and some fast SSDs as well as a lot of RAM.

Granted, I'd recommend setting up #DejaDup / #duplicity, #rdiffbackup or a similar #backup system anyway.

Otherwise one can backup and restore a #ZFS based off #Snapshots that can be exported and imported.
