There are many reasons why #decentralization is far better than functional division, centralized steering and command&control. An often underestimated reason why #federative, decentralized organization is far superior to command-and-control is that, here, top managers can do the job they are supposed to do.

In #complexity, being #networked or having a networked organization is not enough. Here, organizations also need to be #federative, or #decentralized, in order to allow for #agility and consistent #selforganization.

This "mode of operating" is the only way to #highperformance, in complexity.
This is why centralized #management and centralized steering are dead. Stone dead.

Decentralization: A natural and an inevitable feature of organizations in complexity

The problem with probably 99% of models, or concepts of organizational design, organizational structure and development is that they fail to appreciate the difference between periphery and center - and are thus antiquated. Such approaches now belong on the garbage heap of history, and for a simple r

Companies should not be #flatter: In "flat", the logic of top-down/bottom-up and hierarchical #steering is preserved.
Instead, organizations must become #decentralized & #federative, in order to counter market complexity with internal complexity, effectively! (Which is why #MatrixStructures, business unit structures, #AgileScaling or the #SpotifyModel got it all wrong.)

Flat hierarchies: Just another step in the wrong direction

Most managers and business leaders aim to make their organizations flatter. They try to reduce middle management, to skim the amount of hierarchical layers, or they scrap internal bureaucracy in order to achieve more efficiency, more effectiveness, and more enterprise agility.

I figured it out.

Oh ... thank you for response.

Are my replies are sent to the video's admin panel ?

I just wanted to sure #federative commenting works with #Youtube & #Mastodon now

@veer66

That's bad to me.

For that, I will be sticking with #federative & #p2p

#Blockchain is not my thing, I guess.
