@WoodooProd There weren't a whole lot of immersive (first person/etc) games with fantasy themes back then. Heretic in particular was the one I first played. Man I got so much out of that game back in the day. Somehow I couldn't get into Hexen as much, but it might be timing. (Probably I had access to Hexen about the time I ran into Witchhaven, which I liked better since it played less like fantasy Doom.)

We have tons of immersive fantasy games today and could easily forget how back then most were just very simplistic 2D graphics and how these games could feel pretty groundbreaking in their time.
