Interestingly, if you pick a diminished chord, you will find an inversion of that chord by moving 3 frets up or down the neck. The next inversion is another 3 frets up or down.

If you pick any diminished chord at random, you have a 1 in 3 shot of it being the correct one! How wild is that?
