A #Microtonal #MusicTheory question: is there any research or experimentation about scales in 53-ET? For instance, here is a 13-note #scale in 53-ET (notes 0 to 52, 0 is tonic):
a=0 b=4 c=9 d=13 e=18 f=22 g=25 h=28 i=31 j=35 k=40 l=44 m=49 (a=53)
The differences, in steps, between notes, are 4 5 4 5 4 3 3 3 4 5 4 5 4, nicely symmetric.
How many nice-sounding #chords can be found in this scale? If one is allowed to bend some of the notes one or two steps (up or down), which other nice-sounding chords can be found?
Is there a site where I can assign arbitrary frequences to computer keyboard keys (53-ET if possible), and play some #tunes?

Had a fun evening going through different genres on chordroom.com/genres - jumped from blues to bossa nova to country in one sitting.

Really shows how different genres use totally different chord vocabularies. Blues is all dom7, bossa nova loves maj7#11, country is triads all day.

I don't know if anybody else had noticed this, but if you get a euclidean sequencer, and you set it to seven over twelve you get the same relations as a major scale (with a little rotation).

Minor chords make a lot more sense when you consider the 5th the actual root and basically view them as upside-down major chords.

Major, e.g. C: C, E (= C * 5/4), G (= C * 3/2) or 4:5:6
Minor, e.g. C⁻: C, Eᵇ (= C * 6/5), G (= C * 3/2) or 10:12:15
Minor, in relation to the 5th: G, Eᵇ (= G / 5/4), C (= G / 3/2) or 4/5/6

C⁻ should really be called G⁻.
