Empire Kosher Poultry, Inc, the largest Kosher Chicken Plant in the United States, is located in my hometown of Mifflintown. According to the last census, the entire county lists no Jewish citizens, but as a teacher, I experienced few Mondays in which a co-worker didn't brag about "jewing" someone down in price at a weekend sale. Today, March 31st, is the Transgender Day of Visibility. I have friends and loved ones who are trans. I know people whose kids are trans. These people deserve all the same rights that all of us deserve, because we're all people and we are all worthy of those rights.
