My issue with #digital #privacy is not that I have something to hide, but rather, where is the world going in the name of safety or convenience. Which is mass digital #surveillance , to an extent that we may struggle with in the future, once it had unfortunately gone too far to reverse.

What people need to realize is that internet is no longer a domain of private self and life, but has already became our public persona.

This is so important.

So much of the surveillance that Trump and his goons are deploying now against immigrants was already there during Biden's term and Obama's.

The "left" in the US has allowed the development and entrenchment of the surveillance apparatus under a holier-than-thou attitude, thinking that they won't misuse or abuse it, so it's OK it exists. And then they hand over the keys to Drunk Uncle Cheeto Dust.

I've seen it can be done but the documentation says it can't.
