Ok, I managed to switch my brand new Fairphone 5 from stock android to /e/OS and de-google it.
Had some issues with fastboot but somehow it worked now. I’ve got no idea what I actually did 😹
Anyway, I didn’t brick the phone so that’s in itself a reason to celebrate 🎉
Now all that’s left to do is get my data from my old Fairphone 2 to the Fairphone 5

Does anyone on the fediverse know if the Uber android app (or Lyft) works without Google services? I'm running GrapheneOS and kinda hate having to use sandboxed Google Play, so I'm trying to figure out if I can do without them for these apps.
I'm also wondering about the Airbnb app, if anyone knows for that one.

Update to my phone situation:

TL;DR: It's a rooted Samsung S10 stuck in a boot loop.

I've made a post asking for help on the XDA Forums which links to a video showing the entire boot loop and also explains the entire issue, scenario, etc. in whole detail with all the info I could gather.

If any of you have any idea about what to do in my situation, please reply to the post on the XDA Forums or right here !
