Vampire Live Action Roleplay Fashion Shoot for d8 Magazine, 1995.

I know this was shot with my Nikon FM, but other than that, I can't really remember the details. Lens is likely to have been a Nikon Series E 50 mm f/1.8 with Ilford film. This is an iPhone capture of prints that may be photographic or may be from a Canon CLC500 Color Laser Copier with EFI Fiery RIP unit. I can't remember.

I was today years old when I found out that Record of Lodoss War was based on the actual play transcripts of a #DnD game, specifically red box Mentzer Basic edition, and that #TSR shot themselves in the foot by pressuring the publishers with their #copyright, so the publishers invented a whole new #TTRPG system, which is #SwordWorld #RPG.

I feel particularly odd about this, since I wrote the review of the #Lodoss #OVA #anime series in #d8Magazine in the mid 1990s, not knowing this. #gaming

Very happy this week because a former colleague contacted me to assess my interest in participating in a #TTRPG group at our #BIPoC community center.

My last #VTT #gaming group started and died out during the early pandemic years. I don't really know why the others lost interest, because we're all former #d8magazine staff, but I miss it.

I am so ready to get back to #RPG playing, even if it's #DnD. I've offered to gift sets of #dice to anyone who needs them. I have too many.

When my old friends from #d8magazine and I decided to get together over Zoom and Roll20 to play #DnD for the first time in years, I thought we were going to play 2E, but no, we somehow started playing 5E, instead. I didn't own the 5E books, but I downloaded the Basic Rules and studied them to see what had changed. I made myself a Fighter/Champion and a Light Domain Cleric. "Done and done!" (as Sharwyn the Bard would say, in Neverwinter Nights)

Later, my DM sent me a 5E PHB and some new dice.

One of my roleplaying game culture #fashion shoots for #d8Magazine. Vampire: The Masquerade was really big in the mid-90s. I forget which issue this was in. #RPG #ttRPG #VtM #WhiteWolf #goth #DnD #WoD #LARP
