Na segunda metade dos anos 90, a extinta Rede Manchete exibiu um programa chamado U.S. Manga. Certa vez, liguei a TV e já estava na metade de algum episódio, mas a cada dia passava algo diferente, foi então que me dei conta de que não se tratava de uma única série animada, mas sim de OVAs (Original Video Animation). Que são, basicamente, animações com poucos episódios e tem duração média de 45 minutos. Logo me surpreendi com a extrema violência, algo até então inédito, para quem estava acostumado a ver o auge dela em Cavaleiros do Zodíaco. Foi assim que conheci M.D. Geist.

Today I watched a weird old anime...
St. Michael School Drifting Story. It's about a boy from the crusades being reincarnated (as a girl this time, of course) and then killing a bunch of nuns who were planning to sacrifice girls in a religious ritual which would send them back in time to become "comfort women" for Japanese soldiers during WW2. But then they get sent back in time earlier and kill another religious extremist which causes Japan to become peaceful. It was tagged yuri but there's only a little bit...
There's a sequel/remake that might just be porn, judging from the poster and the tags? I don't know. Old OVAs are... interesting...
