Hi, I'm V! #introduction

I am a late-fifties white, fat #disabled #nonbinary person. I live with my partner D & his partner, E, who also hang round on fedi. Sadly, we currently have no pets, but we help out our neighbours & friends with dog walking and pet sitting.

I have a bunch of chronic illnesses & conditions that limit my energy, so posting & response times can be slow and sporadic, but I do my best. I will CW when appropriate and provide image descriptions. I don't boost images without descriptions.

I love the #fediverse; however, I am aware of the problems this place has, especially for #BIPOC . I try to use it critically & thoughtfully and do my best not to be part of the problem. I do appreciate being called out/in if I fuck up, but I recognise that responsibility is mine to do better.

I am trying to unlearn a whole bunch of #racist #colonialist crap amongst other things, so I can be a halfway decent human. BTW Fuck whiteness, white supremacist, nationalist bollocks in any form or shape. I won't argue with you, I'll block & report you.

I like #sewing , #art , #gardening , #craft, #photography, and #Slowmaking stuff in general.

It's only #thanksgiving in the #usa, but this is an important message.
It's a #colonialist #racist holiday that needs to be shown up for what it is.

#GifsArtidote: there are signs of #revolution globally, and I think this bright young man is helping to ignite it by explaining the situation to the traumatised and brainwashed people in his country. i think it's white western ppl's responsibility to intervene and fight for them. ppl like myself are, despite being part of outcasts and the underclass, in a stronger position and we have to take accountability for our ancestors. it's not our fault but we have to deal with the present situation and make this stop with us, our generations alive today. i strongly believe it has to start with me, I have to look at my self first and recognise how I enable the system to continue. but whilst building my community and the revolution together.
