It will be a May finale literally scorching, almost summer-like. The last week of the month, as emerges from the latest weather forecasts, will be dominated by high pressure that is stationary over Europe and Italy, causing the mercury columns to rise well above 30 degrees Celsius.

According to the latest forecasting models, the anticyclone investing the central Mediterranean will guarantee a sunny day over most of the Peninsula.

The only exceptions will be the western-central Alps, the northern Apennines, and the inland areas of Calabria and Sicily, where isolated showers could occur.

Already from tomorrow, the weather situation will be even more stable, thanks to a vast bubble of hot air that will affect Western Europe, bringing temperatures up to 10 degrees above the seasonal average.

For Italy, in the Center-North, the maximum temperatures will exceed 30 degrees Celsius, while in the South the climate will remain slightly milder and pleasant.

Something could change in the second half of the week, particularly during the weekend, when we will witness a gradual weakening of the high pressure. A situation that could favor a slight atmospheric instability, accompanied by a slow drop in temperatures.
