A DEA agent was quoted in a @ProPublica piece on #fentanyl saying that the amount of precursor materials being shipped out of China was so large, that it was impossible for the Chinese state to not be aware.

They were allowing it to happen as a dish served cold for the #OpiumWars.

Payback is a bitch.

They played the long game.

Two years ago, @ProPublica published a report quoting an anonymous DEA agent saying that sheer amount of precursor materials being shipped from China to Mexico meant it was impossible that their government was unaware of the industrial transfer of goods.

They hypothesized it was payback for the #OpiumWars, and strategically intended to destabilize #American society from within.

China has a much longer memory, and the U.S. can only measure in quarterly returns.
