Sociocracy For All

If you are interested in #Sociocracy or #Peer #Governance, this next Saturday 22 will be the "5th Annual Intentional Communities Conference — Bringing Our Best Selves to the Whole" > https://www.sociocracyforall.org/sociocracy-in-intentional-communities-conference-2025/

Surely not the best part, but I will participate in a Advocate for Sociocracy in #IntentionalCommunities Circle open session and will share some thoughts (and dialog) about "Roots of Sociocracy: #ComplexSystems, relationships, #holons, #EmergentProperties and life in the #chaordic space".

@smallcircles Im still enraptured by the metaphysical insights from the Thomist Principle, Quidquid recipitur ad modum recipientis recipitur.

Peoples mental models are wildly different, it takes an awful lot of skill and insight to align perspectives and definitions.

Our curiosity towards #chaordic governance is appreciating autonomy gains from things such as Fediverse but recognising tradeoffs.

Its infinitely harder than narrow protocol design.

If you work with Christian faith communities and participatory leadership, this might be interesting to you. It still holds up to me!

The theology of the Art of Hosting

In the Art of Hosting world we have a few shared core teachings that show up in nearly all the learning workshops that happen. At some point we talk about complexity – we usually explore the …

If you'd have told me I'd be explaining #distributed #systems this frequently -- and to people who'd never heard the term weeks ago, let alone seek out a primer -- I'd never have believed you. Yet here we are. Thanks, #Mastodon Perhaps I should bring the basics here so more people can explain & we each up our game.

I know it can happen. I’ve been there — or at least gone part of the way… It’s very difficult to put in words, for in truly chaordic organization there is no destination. … There is only becoming.
