“I don't understand why you're disagreeing with me.
One possibility is that you know something I don't know. You have a different set of facts or you have a different set of priorities, or you have a different perspective. So I'm going to try to understand what it is I don't know about the problem.
Because if there's something that I don't know that I could learn from you, that's incredibly valuable and I want to garner that value. So then you walk in with saying, look, I noticed that you were proposing doing it this other way. That's not how I've ever thought about it.”
