La presidente del Consiglio ieri è intervenuta di nuovo sul referendum. Si è scagliata contro i magistrati che scarcerano troppa gente. Non si sa bene a chi si riferisse, ma conta poco. In sostanza Meloni – forse per sbaglio, forse perché non conosce bene la riforma Nordio – si è schierata dalla parte di Pm che arrestano e contro i giudici che scarcerano solo perché non trovano legittimo l’arresto. Tradotto: stiamo ben attenti a non dare ulteriore potere ai giudici liberandoli dal condizionamento dei Pm. Dobbiamo riempire le carceri, e quindi la riforma Nordio, che è garantista, è pericolosa e va affossata.
Non ci credete? Lo so, sembra uno scherzo. Ma è così. Ogni volta che interviene Meloni, o Donzelli, o Delmastro, o Bignami, ma anche Tajani, è sempre la stessa solfa: vogliamo magistrati sbirri che mettano in prigione più gente possibile (soprattutto poveri) e seguano gli ordini del governo. Linea politica che sarebbe impossibile se passasse la riforma Nordio. A riequilibrare le cose a favore del Sì è intervenuto il noto magistrato Gratteri. Con un gesto che deve aver allontanato un bel gruppetto di elettori del No, incompatibile col Pm cowboy. Cosa ha fatto Gratteri? Ha detto a un giornalista del Foglio: “Con voi del Foglio i conti li faremo dopo il voto”. Una minaccia inaudita da parte di un magistrato, anzi del Procuratore di Napoli. Difficile che il Csm possa non intervenire, sempre che si accerti che la minaccia non costituisca un reato penale. Comunque è un attacco pazzesco alla libertà di stampa. Speriamo che il fronte del No non perda tempo e allontani Gratteri, imponendogli il silenzio.

Essentially, Meloni – perhaps by mistake, perhaps because she doesn’t fully understand the Nordio reform – took the side of the Public Prosecutors who arrest and against the judges who release people simply because they don’t find the arrest justified. Translated: we are very careful not to give judges more power by releasing them from the influence of the Public Prosecutors. We need to fill the prisons, and therefore the Nordio reform, which is guarantor, is dangerous and must be sunk.
Don't you believe it? I know, it seems like a joke. But it is. Every time Meloni, or Donzelli, or Delmastro, or Bignami, or even Tajani intervenes, it's always the same tune: we want magistrate “police officers” who put as many people in prison as possible (especially the poor) and follow the orders of the government. A political line that would be impossible if the Nordio reform were to pass. To rebalance things in favor of the Yes, the well-known magistrate Gratteri intervened. With a gesture that must have alienated a sizable group of No voters, incompatible with the “cowboy” Public Prosecutor. What did Gratteri do? He told a journalist from *Il Foglio*: “We’ll make the accounts with you at *Il Foglio* after the vote.” An unprecedented threat from a magistrate, indeed the Public Prosecutor of Naples. It’s difficult for the Csm (the independent judicial council) to not intervene, provided that it is ascertained that the threat does not constitute a criminal offense. However, it’s a crazy attack on freedom of the press. Hopefully, the No front won't waste time and will distance itself from Gratteri, imposing silence on him.
