I'm torn, while LLMs are being used for the biggest knowledge theft in history, and letting a bunch of corporate bigwigs think they can replace a ton of employees, it sure can be useful sometimes.

Yesterday it somehow managed to root through a ton of my organization's files to find the explanation for information I haven't been able to find by searching or asking wetware in years. Today, it sifted through a horribly messy file to create a useful table in no time at all.

So, yah, I'm torn. 😑

1) I got an idea for a firefox plug-in that displays your remining Claude compute live...

2) Have zero idea about Java script or writing #firefox plugins.

3) Edit: About 6 prompts;
(Needed the API access + Featuritis).
Now it displays weekly limit and actual time of reset too.

4) Boom, (Edit:) 45 minutes later, the plugin (single shot gen) is installed and running
(Screenie attached)

Sure, I could learn how to write java script, there are heaps of tutorials, I could then learn how to create manifest files for Firefox, I could also brush up my super rust #CSS skills.

Approximate time, about 2 weeks speedrunning this, becasue I am a simpleton, old and unlike those ubermensh who snort in distaint at #AI, it would take me significant amount of time for a side quest... or not do it at all.

VS

Going without.

Now I have the extra 2 weeks I saved to learn how to smelt copper so I can extrude the wires to create a new keyboard with sticks and clay becuse my old one is a wee bit dicky.
