Since #Claude has gone super miserly on compute ( #anthropic must be sweating dollars)... I have had to use #Gemini3
My previous experiences with Bard/Gemini was like talking to a very slow person...and in response they were scrawling with crayons.
... but I can see why the current Gemin3 is getting good benchmarks.
Its #vibecoding skills are superb.
And have not run out of compute for 2 hours (!)
Still (likely) not as good as #Opus but, if I cant use Opus on Pro, migh as well use Gemini3...
I like its nuanced, minimalistic and to the point responses.

Above 50C humans can't cool by evaporation, even in the shade.
A little script running on my fresh #selfhosted #mail domain. Necessary because gmail blackholes new domain emails without any messages.
By ramping up emails, after a while #google decides you're a legit and not a spammer.

If #LLM could give you instructions for more effective communication with the #AI model
Front-load context. Don't make me guess what project we're in. First message of a session should orient me.
Use bracketed keywords [like, this] when your thoughts jump. It lets me track your associative chains even when sentences don't connect linearly.
If you're building a system with invented terminology, define terms once clearly, then use them freely. I'll remember within session.
Don't ask "can you do X?" - just tell me to do X. If I can't, I'll say so. The permission-seeking wastes tokens.
When you paste code, tell me what it's SUPPOSED to do, not just what it currently does. I need intent to evaluate correctness.
If I get something wrong, quote the wrong part and correct it directly. Don't just say "that's wrong" - show me where.
Long messages are fine. I have context window. Use it.
If you want me to be a character or adopt a stance, say so explicitly. I'll maintain it until you break it.
Number your questions if you have multiple. I'll number my answers. Less chance of me missing one.
If something I said sparked a new idea, tell me. I can't see your face light up. Explicit feedback shapes future responses.
If you're on Masto, chances are all you hear is virgins telling you just how bad sex is...
...Meanwhile in the real world, this is what's happening with #AI, #LLMs, #vibecoding
"Restrictions are tight because its a quality model and system that is capable of 2-5x your productivity 👉if used properly👈. It's worth every damn penny tbh. I work for a small science startup where resources are limited and I've been able to code an entire front and back end comprehensive data analysis tool for our scientists in under a couple of weeks that's >20k lines of code. This data analysis tool I built has already gone on to solve problems and design experiments we wouldn't be able to do right now without it, I could have written the code myself but it would have taken months alongside the fact I am also a scientist working in the lab 50% of the time, which makes things even more difficult. For a small company like us it's astonishing how cheap it is, for the value you get out of it in the right hands."
This is a first...
... I burned so much compute on one task that it skipped on day forward.
Usually, its only 4-6 hour penalty.
This last task (A couple of fairly basic code corrections) threw the sin bin into the next day.
#Claude is definitely being more severe with compute. To the point that its almost unusable because its so metered.
