Airplanista 🇺🇦Still truckin' west from the #EU in my #Xplane #flightsim #Cirrus SF50 Vision jet. I have three days to kill before I head to the left coast, so I picked Martha's Vineyard (KMVY), I hear it is quaint. And expensive. I'm told to try the cod.
Was taxiing to parking when a fuel truck and a Jetranger had a "deal" as ATC calls them. I do not think this is going to buff out for the helicopter.
Also, lots of company here on the ramp. Must be a popular place?
Today while on the treadmill, Kenny Loggins came on rocking out "Danger Zone" and it reminded me of 2014 when he played the opening night concert at Airventure (Oshkosh).
I tried like hell to tell anyone at EAA that they absolutely HAD to find a fighter jet or two to buzz Boeing Plaza right as the song crescendoed into "right in to the DANGER ZONE."
It would have been epic.
So I just did the next best thing, spooled up an F-15 in #XPlane and buzzed the field at 1,100 kts.
Made a second hop tonight from Greenland's southern tip over to Gander Int'l in Newfoundland in my #Xplane #flightsim #Cirrus SF50 Vision Jet, coming back to the west coast from the EU.
Five airliners (2 747s and three twin-engine wide bodies, maybe 777s?) had to line up and wait for me to lollygag in at 90 kts on final. I think one was honking his horn.
RON tonight here. Going to take the Courtesy Yak into town and take a Gander...
Still working my way west from the EU to the Left Coast via Iceland, Greenland, Nova Scotia in my #Xplane #flightsim #Cirrus SF50 Vision Jet.
Just landed at Narsarsauq, Greenland, at the far southern tip. First thing I did was put on my "Trump is an idiot" hat so the line guys would sell me fuel. They saw the U.S. registry "N" number and quickly ran the other way.
Gee, I wonder why?

Tonight's flight (actually early Weds morning real-time) is Cork Int'l Airport in Ireland (EICK) to Keflavík Int'l Airport (KEF) in Reykjavík, Iceland.
Level at FL260 over a stormy North Atlantic below (ambient temp -40C at altitude) single-engine (turbine). Making 407 kts of ground speed, sucking up the fuel at 137 GPH, so I'll have to tap my virtual ferry tank to meet NBAA reserves when I land.
Dropped off my #XPlane #flightsim #Cirrus SF50 Vision Jet at Napoli Airport last week, and rented a #Cessna 172 Skyhawk for a VFR tour of Sicily. Hit every airport on the island, and just returned to Napoli.
I parked exactly where ground told me, I think, it was broken Italian English. Came back for my jet and found a small problem, not sure but I think it will buff out.
Headed back to the states soon. Can I land in Greenland? We own it now, right?
Just rented a nice #Cessna 172 Skyhawk in Napoli, Italy, and am headed down for a day VFR tour of Sicily in my #XPlane simulator.
First stop is Catania Fontanarossa (LICC) but direct GPS route is straight over the top of Mt. Etna. I will just deviate around the rock and slide in for some raviolis.

Still bopping around the EU in my #Xplane #flightsim #Cirrus SF50 Vision jet. Took off from Salzburg, Austria, and here I'm on final approach flying the ILS to RWY 24 at Naples, Italy (LIRN). I believe really good pizza is what's for dinner.
My pax are here for seven days, so I might rent something interesting and go explore Sicily VFR. They have a sweet G1000 172 Skyhawk on the line here, €160/hr (Hobbs) wet.
