Approach into Loon River was bush-strip style: following the river carved deep into its bed, descending into the valley until the runway finally popped out between the trees. Defenitely worth flying multiple times.

Proud to announce that a couple of new #Friesenflieger went back to school again – and passed the final examination check flight ✈️💪
We’re officially not newbies anymore, which also means losing the N behind our callsigns.

My old one was FRS156N, and I got to choose a new one.
From now on I’ll be flying as FRS22 🎧🛩️

Huge thanks to all mentors, trainers and experienced folks in the #Friesenflieger community – real-world pilots, #vatsim controllers, or both.

Just a quick update for #Flightsim fans. We #friesenflieger flew from our Homebase Wangerooge - or just „Wooge“ (EDWG) which is one of the eastfrisian islands in Germany - hence the name - to #Bremen. As always #VFR. It was a nice trip with ten to thirteen planes and full ATC coverage. Few minutes before Bremen reporting points to enter the control zone all #vatsim controller software shut down and needed to be restarted. Hats off to the controllers.

Hello dear #FlightSim friends.
We were four aircraft in loose formation, a proper #Friesenflieger outing from #Genoa along the beautiful Italian coast. Just past #Pisa, we spotted the iconic leaning tower – nicely rendered and still defying gravity.

Golden hour lit up #Elba, the Corsican mountains stood proud in the fading light, and by the time we reached #Olbia on #Sardinia, daylight had slipped into a calm NVFR cruise.

Flying together made it even better.

Dear FlightSim friends,
today’s trip was more than just a pretty VFR hop. I took off from #HofPlauen and followed the #GreenBelt – a unique nature reserve that traces the former inner German border – all the way to the #Wasserkuppe.

What used to divide a country is now a 1,400 km long strip of life: forests, meadows, rare species… and silence.
Flying along it feels like gliding over a peaceful scar – nature taking back history.

Destination: the cradle of gliding itself. A perfect end for this thoughtful leg.

Hello dear #FlightSim friends.
The other day we had a little #Friesenflieger meetup at #Heringsdorf on #Usedom.
Weather was moody. Clouds low. Wind not too calm either.
Perfect conditions for traffic circuit and enjoy flying together.

We brought several planes like Cessnas, Bonanzas and the EC135 – both with custom paint and ready to go.
Did we fly far? Not really. But we had fun.
