Cliff’s Notes 2026: Episode Three

Once again, kind of changing up how I post these Cliff’s Notes posts. I’ve tried to do them every week, but personally I think that’s a bit too often. So I’ve decided I’m just going to do them every two to three weeks and I’m simply going to name them chronological order for the year.

Oh my goodness meetings can be so efficient when the leadership isn’t there. What would normally have been an on campus meeting I had to commute to that lasts through an hour and a half of droning on was instead completed in less than 10 minutes of quick updates.

I think our internal engineers just made me feel way better about the company "we're gonna add AI to everything" plans.

Generative Al (ChatGPT & friends): Creating new content (big, complex "Autocomplete")
(that can hallucinate because it's not a search engine)

Agentic Al: Al combined with automation to take tasks from start to finish and the emergence of "reasoning models"
(models are viewable, like SOPs, so can be double checked adding to confidence)

Good morning everyone! How are we all doing today and what are the plans for the day today?

For me, I've just started my work day and I'm hoping it's going to be a nice, slow, easy day today.

I have one meeting at 2pm EST and then that's it for the day to round out the week.

How are we all doing today? What do each of you have planned for the day today?

For me, it's my first day back to work since having 4-days off so it's a bit tough to get motivated, but it's the way it is.

Played a bit of Avowed this morning and that game is so amazingly fun.

Snow is supposedly going to start in about 54 minutes according to @CARROT but who really knows. I'm betting we don't get any snow.

No meetings today either I don't think, but I could be wrong. I haven't even looked at any work stuff the entire 4 days I've been away.

You know it's going to be a long day when you work day has just started within the past 30 minutes, you work 9 hours(one hour lunch) and you're already wanting to have the day end and be over with.

How are we all doing today and how was the weekend for everyone?

For me, it was a lazy weekend which is exactly what I wanted. Played some video games and just relaxed all weekend.

Today, it's back to work and I'm hoping it's going to be a nice slow day, but I'm afraid it won't be. No meetings today, so just straight work until 8pm EST.
