It took a long time for home computers to get at least somewhat proper user accounts. Mostly they seem to work fine.
Now, if only application writers would get the memo that a single computer can have more than one user. I’m doing my stuff with my kid’s laptop (I only have a desktop), on my account, and the antivirus thinks all the accounts on the computer are for the kid.

draft - Even though they fixed it, they still need to implement multiple user profiles in iOS for complete data segregation.
Fyi, pixel phones have multiple user profiles, while iPhones and samsung do not. For that reason, I can only recommend the pixel8.

I have a similar setup. Google One allows me to share storage across my multiple accounts.

draft - i like multiple user profiles on pixel for app/data separation...however, there is an issue where you're in one profile sending out sms and you may not get replies to those until you log back into the "default" user account. and even then, your "sent" sms messages from the alt account don't "sync" over to the "default" or "other" accounts/profiles.
so...apple/samsung...give us multiple user profiles on your phones, and fix the issue.
believe me, i'd prefer if everyone used a web based platform like microsoft teams for trading messages and chat. it does a lot more. i like the ability to edit messages any time, adding images into previously sent messages, having it be web based, even google chat is almost as good, but they still need voice messages and also the ability to not be tied to a google account like ms teams isn't tied to a google account. anyway. blah. brb
