I visited a website, the first thing I see is that the background is replaced by a gambling ad 🤢

I have UBlock Origin but for some reasons it didn't block the ad and updating my filters don't help.

Es ist immer wieder schön zu sehen, wenn man den Teilnehmern zeigt, was so passiert im Internet, gerade mit #uBlock Origin zeigen kann, wie viele Verbindungen eine einzelne Website teilweise aufmacht und wie schön das sein kann, wenn man im Internet surft und keine oder nur ganz wenig Werbung einen dabei stört.
Die Uhs und Ohs tun gut.

@kevinrns @pluralistic I've drilled down on tightening up security today. I need to keep a #Chromium based browser around for banking and other services, but I will most likely migrate to #Librewolf when I can. #uBlock Origin and #ZeroOmega are essential now, and LW bundles the first, plus a bunch of other essential privacy tools like canvas fingerprinting countermeasures, and restricting WebRTC.

@teufelswerk für mich unverständlich, wie man damit Geld erwirtschaften kann. Die meisten Browser haben einen Werbeblocker vom Start an dabei - wenn man sie denn installiert. #Edge #Chrome #Safari haben diesen Blocker selbstverständlich nicht. Scheinbar gibt es aber noch genügend Nutzer die sich durch die vielen Werbebanner peinigen lassen anstelle selbst aktiv zu werden.
