Another movie translation blunder in the attached photo. Could not take a screenshot from Disney+ app so bad photo it is.

Finnish translation from Star Wars: Rogue One says “Kun taisteluasema on tuhottu, kuvernööri Tarkin,…”.

In English the translation says “When the battle station has been destroyed, Governor Tarkin…”.

What was actually said: “When the battle station is finished, Governor Tarkin,…”. And by finished, they mean it is ready for use. Totally the opposite meaning!

These blunders are too common. Such a pity these companies are so poor they have so little money to put in decent translations done professionally.

At least they got the circumflex accent right. Do you think they asked for a long weekend and when it was refused, they did this 🤪🤪🤪 whatever the case may be, they need a break.
