At some point in my life I need to read this tutorial on #fpga and make my own Risc-V processor 😁 I’ve bought this cheap #TangNano board from Aliexpress for no reason, so it would be useful for such project https://github.com/BrunoLevy/learn-fpga

This sounds very promising. #NanoMig – A port of the #MiniMig to the Sipeed Tang Nano 20k #FPGA system:

https://github.com/harbaum/NanoMig

Currently the project's state is:

* Minimig based on Minimig_ECS
* Kick ROM stored in flash ROM
* Up to 2MB chip and 1.5MB slow RAM
* Up to four virtual floppy drives
* HDMI video and audio, PAL and NTSC
* Keyboard, Mouse and Joystick via USB

The project is based on the #MiSTeryNano project:

https://github.com/harbaum/MiSTeryNano/

That's the same hardware with an #Atari STE core.

There is a first very early release but this project is still WIP! You can watch some linked videos.

The #Sipeed Tang Nano 20k can be purchased via various sources: AliExpress, Amazon, eBay and many others. The price varies. I've seen prices starting around about 30 USD up to more than 50 USD.

IT'S ALL HAPPENING!

Open-source FPGA toolchain on macOS, in my good-friend-and-text-editor, Nova.

I'm still on the hunt for a better way (on a Mac) to synthesize SystemVerilog directly instead of converting it to Verilog first. If YOU know a way, lmkplskthx!

Nova is a fantastic, extensible tool from @cabel and his pals at @panic
