ZorroMy SuperStation arrived today and is a very nice piece of kit. About two-thirds the size of the PSOne, it seems to be one of those rare product launches that ticks all the boxes.
1. It's built with right-to-repair/mod/expand in mind.
The intro video shows you how to open it up and goes through all the component areas, LEDs and ports.
2. It respects the original open-source project and is compatible with existing scripts.
Although the developer, producer of the SS1 is working on a custom shell to add some bells and whistles.
3. It has most inputs and outputs people would reasonably want.
Including native PS1 controller ports. This was one of the best controllers ever made and the SNAC ports also allow the PS1 lightgun (on a CRT TV)
If you've been thinking about getting an FPGA retro-box, this might be the one to get. The feeling of playing original hardware is very, very close.
