In most places, property lines stop at the street, but in North Oaks, #Minnesota, property lines extend to the middle of the street. This makes the entire city private property, which prohibits Google and other mapping companies from driving through to take street-level photos. This Minnesotan figured out how residents achieved this block and then found a way to map the area himself.

Minneapolis’s own cop city: Minneapolis Mayor Frey wants $40 million for our own Cop City. This, after the insult and injury of vetoing any assistance for neighbors impacted by ICE last week. Councilor Soren posts a reply on BlueSky. This while Minneapolis schools are facing budget cuts. It’s not over: Somali neighbors raising alarm over deportation “Rocket docket” is infringing on civil liberties. Human Rights First reports on ICE Flight activity in February. They place a black bag over their head.
This can only be to brutalize, murder, or disappear the victim without perpetrators or locations being identified, or to psychologically torture them to make them fear that outcome.
ICE has targeted asylees and asylum seekers fleeing places where exactly this kind of incident. This is sick and sadistic.
