Extreme close pass by a #VictoriaTaxi on Gorge Road West near Tillicum. Thankfully they weren't also speeding which is rare on Gorge Road. My camera was dead but I got the license plate and reported it to the Saanich Police. Probably won't amount to anything but it at least adds to statistics.
Similarly I want to get a Burley Travoy trailer to lug the archery gear to and from the range. At least in this case there are a number of retailers in Australia who nominally sell them, but of course they are all out of stock. Best bet appears to be Pushys who will take pre-orders and claim they can get stock from the supplier in about two weeks, but who knows if that's realistic.
Of course there's no local stock, the only way to buy these is direct from the US, and I won't be doing that with those exorbitant shipping fees.
This is frustrating as Two Wheel Gear's Pannier Backpack Convertible 2.1 PLUS appears to be exactly what the kid needs for his cycle commuting to school. In fact it's the only bag I've been able to find that appears to meet all the requirements, i.e.
1. Mounts on a standard rear pannier rack
2. Converts to a backpack off the bike.
3. 30 litre capacity
4. Zip closure and laptop compartment
5. Looks like an ordinary backpack.
Everything else that I've been able to find that satisfies 1 & 2 fails at either 3, or 4 & 5. Are there any alternatives that I've missed?
Oh FFS. I like the look of your bicycle bags, Two Wheel Gear, but not enough to pay at least $100 shipping to get one.
Uploaded my bike ride on the construction - I mean, Danforth - to youtube so you can see the struggle. A few months ago it was not like that.
Anyway, in one month I won't have to deal with any of that anymore. Countdown.

Bike tooters! What are your favorite bike logging apps for IOS, and why? I finally got a handlebar mount for my phone, and I want to start tracking when, where, and how far I ride. Thanks.
