Putting this out to the Fediverse: I am looking to purchase an e-bike this year.

Musts:
- 50 lbs/23kg
- folding
- at least 500w power
- range at least 40 miles/64km

I need to be able to lift this into my Honda CR-V when I travel. 50lbs/23kg is my safe limit, give or take 5lbs.

I would prefer a popular/well-known brand/make as parts and repairs may be easier.

Thanks for any feedback you can offer based on actual experience.

I want an electric bike. I wasn't able to ride a bike for years, and now, I want some independence without a car (I can't get a license, long story).

My main needs are:
- Needs to be able to haul my ass 20km at the bare minimum
- I don't need any fancy stuff
- I need to be able to pedal on my own, easily, too. So probably will need bigger tires?
- I often will have to ride on dirt/mud, as some roads here just look like that
- I live in Poland, so something that I don't have to buy off of amazon is preferable.

I've dusted off and started riding my late wife's electric bike. It's pretty awesome. I bought her a standard Raleigh, fit for her size (she was a tall woman), and mounted a Switch electric kit. I love it - flattens the hills (and Bristol is hilly). #electricBike
