Well, have decided to try my hand at creating music with #sequencing after rekindling my interest in #electronicmusic - bearing in mind the last time I used a sequencer it was an #Alesis MMT8 - and it was new!

This time it will all be #inthebox though. Cubase includes a simple but handy sequencer called Step Designer and I've installed the free VST plugin called #Stochas which has more advanced capabilities like 'probability' attribute per note and more... I may be 'asking the audience'.. soon!

If you are a #music stroke sound tinkerer like me, you'll probably love the #Stochas sequencer and super #synthesiser #SurgeXT And, amazingly, they are both #free! And you don't need a #DAW to run them. How cool is that? 🙂

Maybe, it's simpler to try to add this features in #stochas or #giada? 🤔

But then I have to use C++ instead of Rust

I have an idea of writing my own audio plugin for looping.

Because I didn't find a #FOSS, which will do what I want.

What I want?
1. Having 16 (or infinite, but I'm not sure, what it is needed) number of loops which can have different time signature (1/2 and 4/4 playing together, for example)

2. An ability to bind play/stop, record and **clear** action for **each track** to any #midi key

3. 16 midi outputs to bind specific instrument to each loop easily

Maybe I don't understand something, but I couldn't find the 1 and 2 in #giada or #stochas

Are there any other #opensource loopers?
