Finally updated #coreboot on my @starlabssystems #starbook #starbookvi. I did update from 9.02 to 25.10, so first time since ~2yrs.
I feel like i am using a new laptop. Fan is not kicking that often, is very silent now. Laptop wakes up faster. Also my chinese mobile 14" monitor finally works via USB-C (it was working before and then stopped for some reason).
I am still a couple of updates behind but 25.10 is the newest at LFVS

Just stopped myself before I tried a firmware update on my @starlabssystems #StarBook at 22:48 when I'm tired and about to go to bed. Definitely need a personal tech change freeze after 9pm. #nerdlife

I'm looking at Linux laptops, to replace a MBPro2014. The tongfang ultrabook 14" looks well up to it, but there's other options, like a Slimbook, Starbook or Tuxedo Infinitybook Pro. All similar cost approx €1200. I also read Mint is the best desktop experience if you're a Linux newbie. Any thoughts or advice appreciated.
