Today the third draft of the ๐ฆ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ธ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฎ ๐๐ป๐ณ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐๐ฟ๐๐ฐ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ book made it on-line.
This new version is primarily an expansion to conform with #GeoSPARQL 1.1. Novel content also on #SimpleFeatures and #MetaData, plus the odd correction and bug fix.
Work in progress.

If you ever wonder why you polygon layers so frequently contain invalid geometries: even regular national borders violate the #SimpleFeatures topology rules ๐คฆโโ๏ธ

Attached: 1 image 7/ There is also the odd situation of the Austrian village of Jungholz, which only borders the rest of Austria at the peak the 1635m tall mountain Sorgschrofen โฐ๏ธ The village has both an Austrian ๐ฆ๐น and a German ๐ฉ๐ช postal code. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jungholz #geoweirdness
Day 31: Break a previous image.
For some reason, I did break a lot during this #genuary:
https://github.com/paezha/genuary2023/tree/master/2022-01-08_Signed-Distance-Functions
https://github.com/paezha/genuary2023/tree/master/2022-01-12_Tessellation
https://github.com/paezha/genuary2023/tree/master/2022-01-29_Maximalism
For this prompt I break a previous image by _unbreaking it_.
Coded in #Rstats using #ggplot2 , #SimpleFeatures, and #rayverse
To the left is the original smashed polygons, to the right the "broken" unsmashed ones.

Day 27: Hilma af Klint
A practitioner of automatic painting, af Klint's abstract work predates that of Kandinsky, Malevtich, and Mondrian.

For this piece I drew inspiration from The Swan series. So simple and yet so full of depth. This seems to be a popular reference for today's prompt!

Day 25: Yayoi Kusama
This piece draws inspiration from the Kusama's Infinity Mirrors. I got to use some of my favorite R packages: #ggplot, #SimpleFeatures, and #rayrender. Three outputs are shown here, with glossy, diffuse, and metallic spheres.
Coded in #Rstats. The code is available in my #genuary2023 repo:

This is a homage to @terence whose shattered tessellations I've long admired:

I haven't figured out how he creates the cracks. Here, I borrowed an L-system from A. Sanchez Chinchon to smash a Voronoi tessellation.

Signed distance functions are buffers with values that are proportional to the distance from the primitive geometry. This image was coded in #Rstats using #ggplot2 and #SimpleFeatures.
The code is available in my #Genuary2023 repository:
