Travellers generally cost at least 4X regular staff and can cost much more. The hospital almost entirely stopped using them because of the high cost.

https://www.foodforallor.org/get-involved I learned about SB 611, which is an Oregon bill that will allow undocumented immigrants to receive food assistance like SNAP. I used the form on the site to send a message to my representatives in support of this bill. I personalized it a little.

I sent an email to the hospital's leadership team, asking them to reinstate this care. I took the form letter and made it very personal, talking about my own suicide attempts and then surgery journey.
