I used to enjoy Sam Smiths pubs. Until about 15 years ago, you could get a pint of decent bitter for a cheap if strange price, like £1.86. I stopped frequenting their pubs when a row broke out centred on an apparently homophobic attack by a landlord that the company refused to condemn in #Soho

Turns out the owner of the chain and its history & commercial affairs are as strange as this suggests

Our local #beer store has once again expanded its assortment of imported specialities.

#SamuelSmith's #ImperialStout is a drinkable fine dark medium strong stout from Yorkshire.

This is the first time I am not deterred by the announced chocolate aroma. This is probably due to the fact that it is not accompanied by a strong smoke flavour.
