A roasty malted start that lingers on the tongue. This develops into a mildl note of dark fruit, that leaves a bitter and dry aftertaste that lingers. The flavours and dryness reminds me of an Irish stout, but on steroids.
Finally getting to enjoy those 🇧🇪🍻 that I planned on drinking yesterday.
Observer - Dark Element - 6.0% ABV. B++, big head, hazy, fruity, spicy with a spicy bitter finish. Solid Brew #ale #beer #bier
3.5/5. Started to rain and now colder. In The Project Caerphilly where they still have Welsh Cakes. Welsh Fine Ales too
Two Pint Cap - Weird Dad - 4.8% ABV. B+ and a bit and a touch. Big and malty, rather complex and interesting. Tidy Pint #ale #beer #bier
3.4/5. New one from Weird Dad, on cask at The Pen and Wig Newport. The Weird Dad is drinking really well.
Hazy IPA - Stewart Brewing - 5.0% ABV. B++, stronger in taste than the Untappd reviews. Fruity and tingly on the tongue #ale #beer #bier
3.5/5. The John Wallace Linton has certainly upped its Craft Can Game. Although it’s still difficult to find on the till. Worth a punt.

Von 20 bis 23 Uhr treffen wir uns online zum Biertasting und bewerten Aussehen, Geruch, Antrunk, Mundgefühl, Nachtrunk und Gesamtnote.
Natürlich bleibt es nicht Bierernst, sonder auch ein geselliges Beisammensein, bei dem wir über dies und das plaudern.
Um selbst am Tasting teilzunehmen, tragt dich in die nuudel-Umfrage ein und schickt eine Nachricht. Das Bierset muss in Gütersloh abgeholt werden, da ein Selbstgebrautes dabei ist.

This is okay, bit not a patch on the previous incarnations of the 8.4% dessert stouts that Northern Monk have released.

On the nose are sweet notes of milk chocolate and strawberry jam. The taste starts sweet with strong notes of milk chocolate, not getting the jam coming through in the flavour, mildly toasted and bitter boozy in the aftertaste. Not as sweet as expected
