Choreo piece🩰

The dance, choreo and expression part of a routine doesn't come as naturally to me as the tricks. PSO was the first time I performed a choreo that consisted completely of my own moves. It made it so much more special✨. Thanks to the amazing Madina who made this possible by pushing me out of my comfortzone and start dancing more freely🤗

Russian layback💘

To be honest the last week few weeks training has felt so hard. What is especially weird is that there is no obvious reasons for it. But in the spirit of not showing just highlights here I wanted to talk a bit about this. I feel like I have drag myself to practice. When I am there I feel irritated and unhappy with the (lack of) progress. It's like everything I do feels heavy. I tried to take it easy and not train for a few days. I think it helped a little with the fatigue in the body, but my mind just keeps telling me I'm not good enough and I shouldn't have skipped my planned trainings. Maybe my training load is too high at the moment🤷🏻‍♀️

Anyhow, these days are part of life and things will turn around again. For now I try to keep my long term goals in mind. I will join a class for fun instead of only working on my routine. And hope the spark will return soon✨

💚🩷🖤MAGICAL MONDAY: My full set from “A Wicked Pole Show!”
Facts about this routine:
-When @aemberannaerial and I planned this show, I knew INSTANTLY I wanted to perform to this song. To me, this song is about trying to do good - even when you know you can’t, even when you know it’s futile, even when you know your efforts won’t be recognized, even when you know those in power will just corrupt and abuse the system - but trying to do good anyway. This is a pivotal moment in the play where Elphaba decides to wear her Scarlet Letter proudly, and I feel that. So hard.
-I was going to be on spin and then transition to static....BUT I couldn’t figure out the switching mechanism and time was running out for my cues so I just rolled with it on spin!
-I was going to try to “go green”...that didn’t happen either - for various reasons lol.
-My husband made my spellbook it looked super cool! Had ancient runes, spooky pics, and everything!
-I read the book the play was based off of in order to prep for the show and I hated it lmao
-After hosting a show for the second time, I learned I really really love producing and hosting. <3
