Got back to treadmill workouts for the first time since February this week. The war in Iran made me spiral a little into a deep depression, and even though I stayed active, I haven't been doing the treadmill and it's felt important to get back to it.

Still lifting three times a week minimum and looking buff, so that's a plus, but it's nice to be jumpstarting my heart a little every day again too.

Kind of a spring renewal, Persephone-style.

Just putting one foot in front of the other for today's 14 km walk. And not very quickly at that. 9:28 per km with a lightly light 64% exercise value and 96 bpm. The scale reports an increase of 0.5 kg.
It was a nice temp at 9.4C and but relatively (sorry) ugly 86% humidity.

Well i ran. It was a kinda shitty run...
The first 20 minutes were really good but after that it was pretty terrible... stopped completely at 30 minutes in part because my computer was bugging out...

It's good i got that 20 minutes tho...
I just showered and ate...
I ate a tamale and sh but maybe i shouldn't have done that :(
I'm trying to settle in to an anti-inflammatory diet i just didn't feel like mixing up my new protein drink for the first time :(.

On the road again for today's 14.0 km walk. Pretty warm at 69C, but the humidity was "only" 73%. Rather slow at 9:14 per km and didn't generate much of an exercise value at 65% (a lightly light 97 bpm).
More details as they become available.

Another change in my thinking that’s been helpful for me :

If I am doing something that doesn’t go as expected, my automatic reaction is to call myself “stupid”

When this happens now - and I catch it - I change it to “silly” to extend myself compassion.

Silly is no big deal after all! 😊😉

Making this change has meant “stupid” is showing up less and less and silly more and more.

I feel better in those moments than I used to feel 🥰
