A woman being interviewed on the radio yesterday has inspired me to try a new approach to getting things done. She commits to starting the thing but then allows herself to adjust how it plays out. She is training for a marathon so each day she dresses to go out for a run but once outside, she then decides if it’s a long or short run or just a walk to get coffee. Most days, she is completing her run because she simply got started.
Being a master at finding excuses to not start a thing, I am hopeful that by forcing a start & allowing how it plays out afterwards, just might show some results.
