A research story isn't complete with out the data. That's why its so important for investigators to deposit their data in a repository.

Through our partnership with bioRxiv & medRxiv, preprint authors can submit data to Dryad when they upload their article - just like authors submitting to journals.

Who will keep research data infrastructure open and running? Jennifer Gibson (@datadryad) and IOI's Kaitlin Thaney (@kaythaney) break it down in an article in Issues in Science and Technology. https://issues.org/open-data-research-%20infrastructure-gibson-thaney/

Interested in air-sea gas transfer and its relevance for marine #CDR? Check out my new paper out today in L&O Letters!

(open access)

Here, I present a first-of-its-kind air-sea CO₂ flux parameterization for a macroalgal habitat (Helgoland, DE), and use it to show how much gas-transfer uncertainty matters for #oceanCDR carbon crediting.

Key finding: uncertainty in gas transfer physics alone can shift carbon removal accounting by as much as the operational emissions of the entire seaweed farm.

I also propose a simple framework to quantify the "risk of incomplete equilibration", which can help future #MRV systems account for this uncertainty.
