⚜Despite ongoing resistance from the teachers of The Law of Moses, Jesus miraculously healed a man with a withered hand on the Sabbath. As he often did, Jesus silenced his opposers because they couldn't deny his good works or his artful teaching.

Bible Gateway passage: Mark 3:1-6 - New Living Translation

Jesus Heals on the Sabbath - Jesus went into the synagogue again and noticed a man with a deformed hand. Since it was the Sabbath, Jesus’ enemies watched him closely. If he healed the man’s hand, they planned to accuse him of working on the Sabbath. Jesus said to the man with the deformed hand, “Come and stand in front of everyone.” Then he turned to his critics and asked, “Does the law permit good deeds on the Sabbath, or is it a day for doing evil? Is this a day to save life or to destroy it?” But they wouldn’t answer him. He looked around at them angrily and was deeply saddened by their hard hearts. Then he said to the man, “Hold out your hand.” So the man held out his hand, and it was restored!

Quote of the day, 10 April: Jessica Powers

I love Abraham, that old weather-beaten
unwavering nomad; when God called to him,
no tender hand wedged time into his stay.
His faith erupted him into a way
far-off and strange. How many miles are there
from Ur to Haran? Where does Canaan lie,
or slow mysterious Egypt sit and wait?
How could he think his ancient thigh would bear
nations, or how consent that Isaac die,
with never an outcry nor an anguished prayer?
I think, alas, how I manipulate
dates and decisions, pull apart the dark,
dally with doubts here and with counsel there,
take out old maps and stare.
Was there a call at all, my fears remark.
I cry out: Abraham, old nomad you,
are you my father? Come to me in pity.
Mine is a far and lonely journey too.

⚜Jesus was the epitome of patience but once, he called apostle Peter ~ "Satan". WHY? Peter wasnt accepting the deep/spiritual things of God (of Jesus' sufferings, death & resurrection) that he just prophesied. Interestingly, Satan means "resister".

Bible Gateway passage: Matthew 16:21-23 - New King James Version

Jesus Predicts His Death and Resurrection - From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day. Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, “Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!” But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.”

Jesus Through Different Faith Lenses: Heaven, History, or Elsewhere?

Hey there. Ever found yourself pondering those big, tangled questions about religion and history? Someone recently presented a fascinating question. It touches on why Christian perspectives on Jewish and Islamic scriptures seem so different. This is especially intriguing given their distinct views on Jesus. Here is the core issue: Jewish tradition doesn't see Jesus as the Messiah and doesn't place him in Heaven now. In contrast, Islamic tradition reveres him as a prophet currently in […]

⚜Jesus is known the world over for his renowned Sermon On The Mount, offering Many helpful bible teachings. In 1 simple verse, he summed up ~ What is most important in life & when we obey it, we're assured that our Most important needs will be met.

Bible Gateway passage: Matthew 6:25-34 - New Living Translation

“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? “And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are.
