studio craque 54 🏳️🌈We have a new Director of SRE that started like two months before me. In a talk yesterday about the incident program that I now own, he was genuinely surprised that I know what NIMS (the FEMA National Incident Management System) is.
And then I tried to explain Safety I vs. Safety II and that went about as well as expected. I was able to oversimplify it down to "Safety I is Root Cause Analysis, Safety II is contributing factors and how we do regular work" and that seems to have helped... for now. At least he is open to learning!
