“A leading human rights barrister has won his appeal against contempt of court proceedings, which were levelled at him for a closing speech in the trial of Palestine Action activists.

The court of appeal’s ruling on Tuesday in the case of Rajiv Menon KC comes as it has also emerged that four of the defendants found guilty in a retrial can be sentenced as terrorists”

Ich lese gerade Das Porzellanzimmer [2021] von Sunjeev #Sahota - und bin seit der allerersten Seite begeistert! Nachdem ich in Fragile Monsters von den 1920ern bis in die 1980er durch #Menon|s Malay[s]a geführt wurde, holt mich jetzt das Indien der 1920er und 1990er [?] im Roman von Sahota genauso gut ab. Durch den unvermittelten Start stolpert man beim Lesen Hals über Kopf in eine Tragödie zwischen drei Teenagerinnen, drei Brüder [20-22J.] und deren verhärtete Mutter.
