Prisoners for #Palestine (PFP), a group that has been supporting the families and friends of the hunger strikers, said the action - which is considered to be largest since the 1981 Irish Republican hunger strike - had achieved a number of victories, with several key demands being met.
Claiming the cancellation of #Elbit's contract as a "resounding victory," it warned that the arms company's "days in #Britain are numbered".

@thisisdys I am most sorry to disillusion you but the heroic actions of the #HungerStrikers had little effect on the #Elbit contract.
The Times reported that a dossier given to the MoD last year alleged that Elbit Systems had breached business appointment rules in preparing a bid for the £2.6bn contract after a former British military officer, Brigadier Philip Kimber, attended a key meeting with Elbit in the weeks after he left the army. He had advised them how to win the contract.
sorry

The company won a $149 million missiles contract for Israel’s “Iron Dome” defense system in 2014. Protestors demonstrated outside their Richardson offices a day after at least 94 Palestinians seeking food were reportedly killed.
The #PalestineAction prisoners in England have called off their #hungerstrike. Some sort of deal has been reached with the #UKgov, including improved prison conditions and refusal of a £2billion contract for Israeli arms maker #Elbit.
