Most datacenter docs are a lie with a timestamp: correct the day they're drawn, wrong after the first swap. Every server pull, every repatch widens the gap, and nobody updates the diagram by hand.

So we built DCIM where the rack shows live power load + each device's real online/offline state, IPAM and VLANs hanging off the same objects as the risk register. Docs you don't maintain, because they just reflect reality.
