Today, June 12, 2024, marks the 57th anniversary of the #LovingVVirginia case, which made interracial marriage legal across the US. People tend to forget that this is something that happened in our lifetimes. My husband was just 3 months old. #LovingDay

I will be curious to see the majority or concurring opinion by by #clarencethomas when the #supremecourt overturns #lovingvvirginia . They will of course need to clarify that all existing marriages are legal but states may decide whether any new marriages will be. But they will surely go after #brownvboardofeducation first.
