KUALA LUMPUR: KTM Komuter will increase the train frequency for the Tanjung Malim-KL Sentral route from one train per hour to one every 15 minutes, effective April 22.

A search on the Keretapi Tanah Melayu Bhd (#KTMB) website on 14 Jan showed that all train tickets to #Ipoh, #PadangBesar & #Butterworth have been #soldout

However, there is some good news, as KTMB will provide 6 additional #ETS services for Chinese New Year & school holiday, 4 for #KLSentral ↔ Ipoh and 2 for KL Sentral ↔ Padang Besar

PETALING JAYA: Ahead of Chinese New Year on Feb 10, most train tickets have been snapped up three days prior to the festival.

No injuries were reported due to the crane collapse incident but it disrupted the #KlangValley electric train services (#ETS) & #KTMKomuter services for the #KLSentral - #TanjungMalim line as well as cargo train services

A total of 10,000 people were affected yesterday, comprising 7,000 Komuter & 3,000 ETS passengers

#KTMB has also provided 24 #shuttlebus to ferry the affected passengers to the nearest #station for them to continue their journey

This may well be the first HSR project in the country, preceding the proposed Kuala Lumpur-Singapore HSR.

At approximately 11:03am on 23 October, a #KLIATransit #train from #KLSentral Station heading to #KLIA was involved in an incident with a #trespasser at KM46.7, just after #SalakTinggi Station.

The train subsequently continued its journey to the #airport. Train services were temporarily combined, and normal #KLIAEkspres services resumed from 1220hrs from KL Sentral, and 1215hrs from KLIA T2.

Normal KLIA Transit services resumed from 1233hrs from KL Sentral, and 1218hrs from KLIA T2.

Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd (ERL) expects to equip KL City Air Terminal in KL Sentral with Check-in Kiosks and Self Bag Drop services by the second quarter of 2024 through its collaboration with aviation technology provider, SITA.

The new facilities will enable passengers to check in and drop their bags within 30 seconds at the train station before boarding the KLIA Ekspres train to the airport.
