Malaysia Public TransportThe government has extended the #concession of #ExpressRailLink (#ERL) to operate #KLIAEkspres and #KLIATransit, from 2029 to 2059
The 30-year concession extension will enable ERL to determine the #fare based on the #marketrate
The government will also not be paying any charges or fees from the revenue of Passenger Service Charge (#PSC) to ERL

At approximately 11:03am on 23 October, a #KLIATransit #train from #KLSentral Station heading to #KLIA was involved in an incident with a #trespasser at KM46.7, just after #SalakTinggi Station.
The train subsequently continued its journey to the #airport. Train services were temporarily combined, and normal #KLIAEkspres services resumed from 1220hrs from KL Sentral, and 1215hrs from KLIA T2.
Normal KLIA Transit services resumed from 1233hrs from KL Sentral, and 1218hrs from KLIA T2.
Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd (ERL) expects to equip KL City Air Terminal in KL Sentral with Check-in Kiosks and Self Bag Drop services by the second quarter of 2024 through its collaboration with aviation technology provider, SITA.
The new facilities will enable passengers to check in and drop their bags within 30 seconds at the train station before boarding the KLIA Ekspres train to the airport.

Express Rail Link (ERL) is informing users of KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit that they're upgrading their contactless payment system at the gates to make passenger travel experience faster and smoother.
The installation will be carried out from 10 to 13 September 2023. During this period, passengers can still use their contactless credit/debit card or Apple Pay/Samsung Pay at the gate.

Express Rail Link (#ERL) is informing the public that they will be running combined #KLIAEkspres and #KLIATransit service on Sunday, 6 August 2023 from 5:00 am to 7:00 am to carry out #mosquito #fogging exercise at the #train platforms at #KLSentral.
At KL Sentral Station, all #departures and #arrivals will be through KLIA Ekspres ARRIVAL platform. The combined #service #frequency will be 30 minutes. Normal services will resume after the completion of the fogging exercise.
