😋 Since you are the #epigraphcoffeeclub person, I'd thought I'd share that thinking about your wonderful #epigraph posts and answering #pennedpossibilities 548 inspired me to write a novel opener epigraph that heightens the mystery. I'm rather pleased with it and may start all of the novella and larger works with it. So thank you @klepsydra and @floofpaldi

They can be at the beginning of books and even at the beginning of chapters. And it's not a new thing - I recently re-read Watership Down and every chapter has an epigraph. Not to mention poems, like T S Eliot's The Waste Land - epigraphs in Latin and Greek!
