🧵 2/n well, there goes Plan A! 😅

#DuckAI / #DuckDuckGo (duck.ai) and #Mistral say that fstab is on the A/B ROOT partitions.

I doubt that those partitions survive #FydeOS software updates.

Plan B: perpetually re-create the swapfile, after every system software update? I mean, if swapfiling is even possible.

Afaik, FydeOS uses zram compression, but that's not carrying me far, on a 4GB tablet.

We'll see; i'll ask Mistral a few more questions.

I have over a hundred Firefox profiles, turning off DuckDuckGos "AI" in all of them is too difficult, especially since it can always come back when I clear cookies. Today, it popped up when I was trying to see if Windows 12 was a thing, and it gave extremely blatant misinformation, the most I have ever seen from it before, so I decided to load more, to see how it would try and defend its claim that Windows 12 was released between 2024 and 2025 (1-2 years ago) when every link surrounding it said that was wrong.
It generated several paragraphs of slop, which just looks like pointless filler, and it continuously asserted its claim 4 times, never once saying that it made a mistake.
Is this really the technology that is going to replace humans? If a writer for a newspaper did something like this, they would be fired on the spot, lose their credibility, and possibly never be a prominent journalist again. #AISlop #AntiAI #DuckDuckGo #DuckAI #AI #slop #microslop #Windows12

Nachdem ich wochenlang versucht hatte meine eigene #emacs Konfiguration (just for fun...) zu schreiben (init.el) und es immer irgendwelche Fehlermeldungen gab, habe ich ich mich heute dazu durchgerungen #duckai um Hilfe zu bitten - und siehe da: Es ist alles so wie ich es mir vorgestellt habe, einschl. Templates und Startdatei mit Inhaltsverzeichnis! Außerdem weiß ich jetzt was ich falsch gemacht hatte!

Okay, so I just wanted to figure out how to pad a video to a certain length with black frames so I can avoid getting spoiled when watching the downloaded broadcast of #StarCraft games on my TV by the length of the video.

I typed in my question to duckduckgo, there is no easy #ffmpeg switch that does it, there is no universal solution on stack overflow, but #DuckAi gave me a Bash script that almost worked instantly, and one that worked in like 20 minutes.

But I also feel dumber. #llm

I have an #AnkerSolix #SmartMeter for which the current sensors were installed in the wrong orientation and therefore I can’t use it.
So, having an electrical engineering degree from >30 years ago, I think I could just reverse the polarity of the wires from sensors to device. But I’m not sure and it’s 240 volts and much too many amperes for me to do this without knowing I wouldn’t roast myself.

So I asked #duckAI and got this. So do I trust GPT5mini when I don’t trust myself?
