#ADHD students heading back to school next week, time to get yourself organized. My biggest piece of advice to all students is to pick out more classes than you need. That way, if one of your profs ends up looking like a bad fit, you can easily drop and move into another (hopefully better) option. This happens quite a bit if you are a disabled student.

To disclose or not to disclose? Someone reached out to me recently to ask if they should disclose their ADHD when applying to graduate school. My advice is not to say #ADHD but to use neurodevelopmental disability or disability. Stigmas run deep and are hard to detect. #HigherEd in general isn't a friendly place for disabled and/or neurodivergent folks.

Except HR totally messed up and I didn't get my appointment letter until yesterday.
